The Company

Lipco has been manufacturing customized souvenirs for over 60 years, selling them wholesale to approved souvenir stores across the country. These personalized mementos and keepsakes, adorned with the name and art specific to each vacation destination, are cherished by families as a reminder of their trips.

Lipco’s Challenge

The project was complex due to both customer user experience needs and ERP system integration requirements, including:.

  • Product pricing with seven different levels based on customer groups
  • Multiple imprint methods with different charges based on method
  • Design selection for orders filtered by imprint method
  • Deep ERP integration requirements, including:
    • Invoice history for ALL customer orders, including offline and tradeshow orders
    • Automated population of all product data, including imprint variations – 1000’s of SKUs
    • Design library of 10,000+ designs with automated updates
    • Website orders pushing to ERP, and order status returns to website

Business Solution
Lipco chose Speartek for their documented custom functionality, proven experience in the souvenir industry, and ERP integration capabilities. The solution included:

  • Custom-designed website to capture the Lipco brand and effectively merchandise and market thousands of products across several categories
  • B2B wholesale ordering for 14 different customer profiles (7 price levels x 2 payment methods)
  • Customized product display and ordering with varying minimum quantities by decoration method, location name drop capture, and imprinted design search by method
  • Integration and nightly import of data files, including invoice summaries, product data with imprint variations, design gallery, and inventory on hand

Reduction in Payroll: Integrating Lipco’s ERP with the website eliminated duplicate data management tasks, automating work equivalent to a full-time position. Additionally, connecting orders, order status, and inventory saved enough labor for another full-time position resulting in significant savings.
