Opportunity & Challenge
Jefferson National Parks Association is a large nonprofit that manages several national parks in the Midwest, most notably the Gateway Arch in St Louis, MO. They needed a powerful content management system capable of managing multiple sites with different content, with all of it tied into one ecommerce platform. In the past JNPA struggled with several different unrelated sites, each with a different presence and style, and several completely separate online shops.
Strategy
JNPA engaged Speartek to create a primary site that would describe the mission and purpose of the organization. Within this site, JNPA needed micro-sites set up to for each national park, complete with individual navigation and page schemes. Additionally, an online shop would be accessible from each page, located within the primary navigation.
Solution
Building upon an existing relationship with a local marketing and branding agency, JNPA created a design for the overall look of the website. Speartek designers worked with JNPA’s designers to build their files into the Speartek CMS. The online store was created and integrated seamlessly into the online presence.
Continued Success
Since 2006, Speartek has enjoyed a great relationship with JNPA, expanding their sites into an organized collection of over 100 pages of destination information, and an online store with several hundred products. Our relationship with JNPA continues into 2011, and JNPA has been instrumental in providing introductions and references to other clients within the nonprofit and museum industry. Nothing speaks to the success of a project like referrals from satisfied clients.
