Content Management
A Content Management System, or CMS, is the most cost effective solution for organizations that need to keep their content updated on a regular basis, want an easy to use web-based CMS solution, but don’t want the headache that comes with managing their own hosting and uploading files to that server. For smaller brochure sites with 4 or 5 pages of content, this may not be important. But for deeper sites where an organization actively uses the web to update customers and prospects on the latest news, product updates, or relevant information, a CMS can be very valuable.
Updating content is crucial to the effectiveness of your company’s website. From a site visitor standpoint, you want repeat visits from people interested in your product or service. Why would they return if nothing ever changes? From a search engine visibility standpoint, Google will place a higher priority on sites that they see as frequently changing. Speartek clients are empowered to bring these benefits to their online presence through use of our content management system and they have the assistance of a dedicated support staff whenever they have questions on the use of the tools we provide.
What makes the Speartek CMS solution better than others? In addition to a long list of HMTL editing features that you will find in just about any credible CMS, we offer the following unique features:
- Viewing Security – You can flag each element of content so that is only visible to the appropriate viewing groups.
- Delegation by Site Section – For larger sites that have multiple content editors, our system can connect each page of the site to groups for better site organization.
- Editing Security – Our CMS system allows an overall site administrator to “lock” content editors out of sections of the site and only allow them to edit the sections to which they have been granted access.
- Publishing Feature – Content edits can be published immediately to the web server or be saved for publishing at a later date. This is useful when large sections of content need to be updated and then made live at one time or if content editing has been delegated but needs review before publishing.
- Automatic Versioning – Each edit of content is saved and stored for future review. If changes are made in error or have resulted in a less than desirable display, the system allows for an instant rollback to a prior version of content.
- Multi-Lingual – The need to communicate your message in more than just English is a growing challenge in a global economy. Our CMS solution allows you to easily manage content across all of the languages needed for your site readers.
